A nature lover’s paradise, green is the colour of Dominica, from its mountainous jungles to its tropical mangrove forests.
Known as the Caribbean’s “Nature Island”, a luxury Dominica holiday is all about adventure, whether you’re hiking its vast jungles or uncovering hidden waterfalls. Dominica offers a different side to the Caribbean; here, you won’t find long stretches of sandy beaches, but secluded, rugged coves, its reefs offering brilliant opportunities for snorkelling and scuba diving.
Situated between Guadeloupe and Martinique, Dominica is known for its eco-adventures, with the spectacular Waitukubuli National Trail and Morne Trois Pitons National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - ideal for those looking to go hiking. You can also discover a wealth of unique birdlife in its jungles, unwind in hot springs, or go kayaking on one of the island’s many rivers. With a vibrant Creole culture, derived from African and European influences, Dominica is also known for its indigenous population of pre-Columbian Carib Indians, who still retain their strong cultural identity.
Whilst off the beaten track, luxury can be found in Dominica; stay at the exclusive Secret Bay on your luxury Dominica holiday, an eco-conscious boutique hotel with private pool villas that are ideal for honeymooners. Go island hopping in the Caribbean and combine Dominica with St. Lucia or Barbados, both offering direct flights to Roseau.
