Mexico City is easily one of the most underrated cities in the world, and you could spend days exploring the myriad of sights, restaurants, bars and beauty that dwell above this concrete jungle, but it’d be a shame to visit without viewing Frida Kahlo’s astounding works of art.
A private tour of her incredible work will see you going to not only the city’s most prestigious galleries, but also to her house and slightly awkwardly, her lover’s mistress’s house too. Seeing her artwork in Mexico where she was born, influenced and shaped as person offers so much more perspective than a flick through a coffee table book.
They don’t have it with salt and lime in Mexico, because the flavour is so much more pronounced and nowhere near as undesirable as our supermarket’s offerings; the tequila here is simply incredible.
The origins remain slightly hazy but the name Tequila actually comes from a town near the birthplace of the drink, as opposed to the birthplace itself. History aside, the way Tequila is brewed in Mexico results in an incredible and unmissable drink that must be tasted when you visit. After a sampling session, you’ll never want to go back to the salt and lime again.
