  • We love the Overwater Bungalow, with direct lagoon access and a tropical outdoor shower.
  • Enjoy delicious dishes and flavours at the resort’s 4 tropical restaurants and bars.
  • Feel invigorated at the resort’s Aura spa, with a wide menu of traditional therapies and treatments.
  • Take the plunge into underwater paradise and discover Bawah’s spectacular coral reefs.

Surrounded by tropical flora and crystal-clear turquoise water...

Located in Indonesia’s remote Anambas Archipelago on the private Bawah Island, the Bawah Reserve is a tropical island retreat in nature, surrounded by tropical flora and crystal-clear turquoise water. A previously uninhabited marine conservation area, the Bawah Reserve is ideal for both adventure-seekers and those wishing to escape and relax. With several accommodation types, there is something for everyone at the resort, whether you’re looking for an Indonesian honeymoon or much-needed getaway. Our favourite place to stay is the Overwater...

Best Time To Travel

It can be a challenge to pin down the best times to visit Indonesia, as it’s comprised of over 10,000 varied islands, however there are some general rules that are easy to follow. The dry season generally runs from May to September which makes it the best time to visit for sunbathing and exploring, while the opposing rainy season sits between October and April.
