For a true taste of Greek luxury, these hotels are gold!
Travellers looking for the best Greece holidays available and wondering where to go in Greece need look no further than the awe-inspiring destination of Mykonos, or more specifically, the Mykonos Grand Hotel. Arriving at this luxury boutique resort was like stepping foot into another world; I found myself surrounded by heavenly white design, delicately peppered with the blue hues that we have come to associate with Mediterranean grandeur, and I immediately felt a sense of tranquillity as I made my way through the impressive corridors to my suite. What faced me as I opened the door was unlike anything I was expecting: it was far more grand and more lavish than I could have ever imagined.
Pristine presentation and stunning contemporary design were just the beginning of the beauty that I would see, as beyond the balcony doors I glimpsed the twinkling reflection of the clear Aegean waters, and when I opened the doors I was stunned all over again. Just outside my immaculate suite, bathing in the radiant Greek sunshine, I found a luxury veranda, complete with my very own magnificent infinity pool looking out across the vast azure waters and offering dreamy views of historical Delos in the distance. If I wasn’t already sure, I now knew that this had to be one the best places to stay in Greece, possibly even in the world.
Throughout the duration of my stay, I was shown every ounce of luxury and indulgence that this incredible resort has to offer; the Mykonos Grand Hotel made my every holiday dream come true. I spent an invigorating afternoon in the renowned Althea Spa, being pampered and spoilt with body and facial scrubs. I opted for the Mediterranean Scrub and Mastic Glam treatments, which after two hours of total relaxation, left my skin feeling revitalised and renewed. I also sampled the sublime cuisine available, from relaxed dinners at the Dolphins of Delos restaurant, which offers breath-taking sunset views, to delectable seafood and Mediterranean salad lunches at the Aqua E Sole. For an evening of romance and seclusion, I was even treated to a bespoke BBQ dining experience, right from the comfort of my spectacular veranda. Our very own exclusive chef joined us and grilled our mouth-watering meal of choice right before our eyes while we watched the sun set over the horizon of the serene Aegean waters, and I couldn’t help but think of how this would be the perfect honeymoon experience.
The Mykonos Grand Hotel captures the essence of Greek hospitality and redefines it with stunning modern design and extravagant luxury, all while offering the most immaculate Mykonos beaches available. Anyone looking for the best places to stay in Greece or the best Mykonos hotels, can do no better than this sumptuous haven.
After an incredible few days in the plush comfort of one luxury beach hotel, it came time to move on… to another lavish Mykonos hotel. Heart-breaking, I know. Nestled within an exclusive peninsula was my next dazzling destination: the Petasos Beach Resort & Spa.
As I arrived at this opulent Mykonos beach hotel, I was struck by the contemporary décor and stunning authentic Greek design. I knew instantly that there would be no shortage of magnificence in this sumptuous haven. My suite was comprised of pristine white and azure blue décor that perfectly matched the view beyond my balcony doors. Sitting right outside of my luxurious room was a mesmerising private deck, plush royal blue seating and, of course, a gorgeous, shimmering infinity pool that looked out over the sparkling Aegean waters. As I admired the incredible view, I imagined watching sunsets over the horizon while on a dreamy honeymoon in Greece. Anybody wondering where to stay in Mykonos will not be disappointed by the suites available in this spectacular hotel; they are the epitome of luxury.
The extravagance of the Petasos Beach Resort & Spa wasn’t only confined to my room. I experienced an incomparably elegant dining experience each evening at Le Club Restaurant and was treated to marvellous sunsets as I indulged in delicious Asian fusion cuisine. The highlight of my stay, though, had to be my visit to the Aqua Marine Spa. Located in the new spa wing, this relaxing paradise boasts more than 60 treatments, all designed by expert professional therapists. I was truly spoilt for choice, but eventually managed to narrow down my options to the Customised Deep Cleansing Facial and the Aromatherapy Massage.
After analysing my skin, my therapist was able to tailor my facial to my skin type, creating a bespoke and unique experience exclusively for me. My skin was glowing for days afterwards and not just because of the radiant Greek sunshine! The Aromatherapy Massage was unlike anything I’d had before and completely reinvigorated my muscles and senses. I left the spa feeling like I was on cloud nine and I was not planning to come back down any time soon. I spent the rest of the day continuing to be pampered out by the two-level pool, being treated to an exclusive range of delicious and refreshing cocktails as I bathed in the Mykonos sun and admired the spectacular cerulean views of the Aegean. I lay on my lounger knowing that I had undoubtedly found the best places to visit in Greece and the best Mykonos hotels on offer.
If reading this has filled you with holiday envy and you’re wondering when would be the best time to visit Greece, I’ve got you covered. These Mykonos beaches see gorgeous sunshine all year round, but for the ultimate Greece holiday you can go during any of the summer months, from mid-April all the way through to mid-October.
