Wildlife in the city?

There is more than one way to go wild in Singapore and a visit to the Singapore Zoo will provide visitors with all they could wish for. The zoo is one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in the world with large natural habitats for its animals to roam freely. With excellent experiences like guided tours and walk through environments that are sure to amaze visitors. Jungle breakfast with wildlife is an additional experience not to be missed where visitors can dine surrounded by the intriguing orang-utans.

Another highlight is the magical Singapore Night Safari which is the world’s first safari park made specifically for nocturnal animals. This guided tour will introduce you to the amazing leopards, tigers, lions and wallabies for a spectacular ride.

Experience the thrills

For visitors seeking their share of thrills Singapore has plenty to offer. One of the key hotspots has to be Universal Studios Singapore. This park is perfect for movie fans as guests can explore many worlds and locations themed around their favourite films and ride the thrilling rollercoasters and simulator rides for which the park has become famous. If being thrown into a battle with Transformers or laughing with the Minions sounds perfect this park is perfect for those of all ages.

If seeing the sights and sounds of the city sounds perfect then a trip to the Singapore Flyer or the Tiger Sky Tower can’t be missed. The Flyer is quite similar to the famous London Eye and is a giant Ferris Wheel that provides tourists a fantastic view of the city day or night. This is rivalled by the Tiger sky Tower which is Asia’s tallest standalone observation tower that provides a truly wonderful view once at the top.

Singapore for foodies

This is definitely a country for foodies with such an extensive variety of food to experience. Some of the best places are the Hawker Food Markets. There are many of these located around the city and are a buzzing hub where visitors can try a wide selection of food that is sure to impress and is great value for money.

It is also worth checking out Chinatown for some of the best food in Singapore. With its interesting cultural sites and wide selection of eateries, Chinatown is definitely worth a visit. The area is known primarily for its seafood and the Chinatown Seafood Restaurant is the perfect spot with its signature Chilli Crab which will make the trip worthwhile.

Take in the Culture

Despite its bustling city vibe Singapore has kept much of its culture which can be seen in many locations around the country. One key representation of this is the Budda Tooth Relic Temple, a Chinese Buddhist temple in the heart of Chinatown that gets its name from the relics within.

Another fantastic site is Sentosa Island which is a small island just a short boat trip away. It is known for its excellent resorts and buzzing entertainment but also holds some history. The island was a strategic British military fortress during World War II and was known as Pulau Belakang Mai or the Island of Death from Behind in Malay! Since then it has been renamed Sentosa meaning peace and tranquillity.

Modern wonders

Singapore is full of modern wonders with its growing reputation and bustling city. One of the most significant sites has to be the Marina Bay Sands hotel which is a magnificent structure with three central towers holding up a boat shaped roof. This is ideal for those who are looking for the Vegas wow factor as its impressive structure holds an indoor river with gondola rides and a beautiful infinity pool on the roof which is one of the highest in the world.

Gardens by the bay are something all visitors have to see. These are not just beautiful gardens but are also home to the miraculous Supertrees which at night are lit up and look like a scene from Avatar.  Accompanied by a light show and music the Gardens by the bay make the perfect end to a night and is something that visitors will never forget.
