It is also worth checking out Chinatown for some of the best food in Singapore. With its interesting cultural sites and wide selection of eateries, Chinatown is definitely worth a visit. The area is known primarily for its seafood and the Chinatown Seafood Restaurant is the perfect spot with its signature Chilli Crab which will make the trip worthwhile.
Take in the Culture
Despite its bustling city vibe Singapore has kept much of its culture which can be seen in many locations around the country. One key representation of this is the Budda Tooth Relic Temple, a Chinese Buddhist temple in the heart of Chinatown that gets its name from the relics within.
Another fantastic site is Sentosa Island which is a small island just a short boat trip away. It is known for its excellent resorts and buzzing entertainment but also holds some history. The island was a strategic British military fortress during World War II and was known as Pulau Belakang Mai or the Island of Death from Behind in Malay! Since then it has been renamed Sentosa meaning peace and tranquillity.

Gardens by the bay are something all visitors have to see. These are not just beautiful gardens but are also home to the miraculous Supertrees which at night are lit up and look like a scene from Avatar. Accompanied by a light show and music the Gardens by the bay make the perfect end to a night and is something that visitors will never forget.
