In light of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the way that we travel has changed so that we can continue to safely explore the world and discover new places.
Many airports and airlines now require passengers to wear face masks at all times both in the airport and on board to limit the spread of the virus. As well as this, airlines have enhanced their cleaning procedures and audit inspections for each of their aircraft so that passengers can be assured they are in a heavily sanitised environment. The majority of commercial aircraft are fitted with HEPA filters, which provide the same level of air filtration as hospital operating theatres. To ensure that all passengers are provided with clean air, these filters efficiently remove any particulate and bacterial contamination throughout the duration of the flight.
Globally, hotels and resorts have rapidly responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing stringent cleaning procedures – particularly in public spaces - and increasing the availability of hand sanitisers to limit transmission. You can expect to see strict social distancing measures in place, as well as other measures including single-use key cards, contactless payments, flexible check-in times, mandatory wearing of personal protective equipment for all hotel staff and plexiglass partitions at hotel receptions.
COVID-19 has understandably made travel uncertain, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still book a holiday.
