Day 1
Fly from UK to Lima

You've made it! After a 12 and a half hour flight across the Atlantic and South America, you've finally touched down in Peru and can't wait for your 17-night adventure to begin! You'll be met by your private chauffeur from the airport and taken to the first hotel in Peru's capital city: Lima

Day 1
2 Nights at AC Hotel Lima Miraflores

The beginning of your Peru holiday, AC Hotel Lima Miraflores is perfectly situated in the vibrant Malecon de la Reserva area on Lima's breathtaking Pacific coastline. With a contemporary, stylish design, guests can enjoy sleek luxury whilst recovering from their jet lag, before heading out into the city to get their first taste of Peru!

Day 1-3
Lima

One of South America's largest cities, Lima is a sizzling melting pot of cultures, its architecture spanning from pre-Columbian ruins to Spanish colonial palaces. With a vibrant nightlife scene, a vast array of historical landmarks and a centuries-old mouthwatering cuisine, Lima is certainly not to be missed.

Included in your itinerary is an immersive guided tour of Lima, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the ancient ceremonial centre of Huaca Pucllana, the Plaza de Armas of Lima and the grandiose Lima Cathedral that stands tall in the centre of the city. For those interested in the Lima's rich history, you'll also be able explore the Larco Herrera Museum, home to over 3000 years worth of history, from pre-Incan art to pre-Hispanic ceramics. 

Day 3
Fly from Lima to Puerto Maldonado

You've now settled into the Peruvian way of life, and whilst you've enjoyed your time in Lima, you can't wait to discover the country's spectacular piece of the Amazon! After being met at your hotel by your private chauffeur, you'll be taken back to the airport to board your flight to the city of Puerto Maldonado, set along the banks of the Rio Madre De Dios River and surrounded by the Amazon jungle. Once you've arrived, you'll board a motorised canoe down the Rio Madre De Dios River until you reach the secluded Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion

Day 3
3 Nights at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion

Your exclusive hideaway in the rainforest, at the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion you'll experience barefoot luxury in the steaming Tambopota National Reserve, staying in a tropical Cabana that's built spectacularly on stilts! Day 3-6
Amazon Adventures

The Amazon Rainforest should be on everybody's bucket list. Known as 'The Lungs of the Planet', the Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world and is home to 10 million species, with scientists estimating that there are still over 5 million new species yet to be discovered. Spanning across several South American countries including Brazil, Peru and Colombia, the Amazon Rainforest is a world unto itself.

During your stay in the Amazon, you'll have the chance to explore this vast biosphere with a variety of immersive excursions. All included in your itinerary, you'll be able to spot nocturnal creatures on a Twilight River Canoe Excursion, trek to the breathtaking Lake Sandoval through the Tambopata National Reserve and experience a native Amazonian farm, tasting some of the naturally grown products. For wildlife lovers, you'll have the chance to encounter a range of unique creatures, from the adorable squirrel monkeys to the lovable three-toed sloth.

Day 6
Fly from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco 

You've had the time of your life in the Peruvian Amazon but you can't wait to head to the Sacred Valley and experience for yourself Peru's greatest ancient wonders. After a tantalising breakfast buffet, you'll board again the motorised canoe where, once you've disembarked, you'll be met by your private chauffeur and taken to the airport. After a short flight to Cusco, you'll soon be on your way to the Tambo Del Inka Resort and Spa, nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley...

Day 6
3 Nights at Tambo del Inka, A Luxury Collection Resort and Spa

Day 6-9
The Sacred Valley

Once the heart of the Incan Empire, Peru's Sacred Valley is one of the country's most visited regions, its sweeping mountain scenery and ancient ruins a gateway to another world. Home to Andean traditions and ancient temples, this remarkable landscape is simply unmissable on a holiday to Peru.

After a comfortable night in your hotel, you'll be met by your tour guide who will properly immerse you in the culture of the region. Starting in the village of Pisac, you'll visit a traditional artisan market before learning about the ruins of the world-famous Intihuatana. As well as this, during your time in the Sacred Valley you'll also visit the iconic terraces of Moray and the village of Ccorcco, whose traditional Andean weaving techniques are still used to this day. 

Day 9
Road transfer from Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

After being completely awestruck by the Sacred Valley, you're now greatly anticipating exploring the world-famous Machu Picchu. After boarding the luxurious Belmond Rio Sagrado train, you can sip a delicious welcome cocktail and savour a gourmet lunch as you admire the sublime scenery around you. Once you've disembarked, you'll be taken by private car transfer to the Inkaterra Machu Pichhu Pueblo Hotel where you can get some much-needed rest before.

Day 9
1 Night at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

Day 9-10
Machu Picchu

After having some breakfast, you'll begin your hike to Machu Picchu, stopping to admire the many vibrant birds that are native to the region. As you climb higher, the scenery will transform around you and you'll soon feel like you're standing amongst the clouds with the rolling Andean mountains seeming to stretch forever towards the horizon. As you admire the iconic picture-perfect view, you'll soon descend into the ancient Incan ruins, learning about their rich history; you'll be able to explore sites such as the House of the Guardian, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun and the Sacred Plaza! Afterwards, you'll enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, situated right beside the ruins!

Day 10
Road transfer from Aguas Calientes to Cusco

After an incredible time exploring Machu Picchu, you'll soon be boarding the exclusive Belmond Hiram Bingham back to Cusco, where you can look forward to discovering this historic city. Whilst you enjoy Peruvian cocktails and live music aboard the train, it won't be long before you'll be arriving in Cusco where you'll be met by your private driver and taken to the Palacio Delinka, A Luxury Collection Hotel Cusco, located in the heart of the city!

Day 10

Cusco

Day 13-14
1 Night aboard the Belmond Andean Explorer Train

Your time in Cusco has sadly come to an end, but you're now looking forward to experiencing the golden age of train travel aboard the luxurious Belmond Andean Explorer Train

Day 15
Road transfer from Lake Titicaca to Colca Canyon

Day 15

Colca Canyon

As you pass through the vast plains and valleys, make sure to look out for the region's native alpacas as they roam through this impressive environment. 

Day 16
Road transfer from Colca Canyon to Arequipa

Now that you've seen the mighty Colca Canyon, it's time to head to your final destination: the city of Arequipa. After being picked up from the hotel by your private driver, you'll pass through the famous Cruz del Condor point, the traditional village of Pinchollo and the Andean community of Maca before arriving at the beautiful city of Arequipa!

Day 16

During your stay in Arequipa, you'll have a fascinating tour of the city, visiting sights such as the rich ochre-red convent of Santa Catalina and the 17th Century Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa. Afterwards, you'll be taken the long-established market of San Camilo to buy the ingredients for a cooking class with a local Peruvian family - you'll be able to impress your friends when you get home with your newfound Peruvian cooking skills!

Day 18
Fly from Arequipa to UK

Your Peru holiday has sadly come to an end! After being met at your hotel by your private driver, you'll be taken to the airport where you'll catch a short flight back to Lima. Once there, you'll board your international flight back to the UK.
