Fly from UK to Louisville

Welcome to the USA! Your cultural adventure across the Deep South begins in Kentucky's largest city, Louisville. Once you've arrived, you'll be able to collect your rental car and transfer yourself to the first stop on your itinerary. 

Day 1-3

Day 3-5

Country Music Hall of Fame, RCA Studio B & Nashville's Grand Ole Opry

Nashville, the heart of America's country music scene, is brimming with monuments commemorating the long and varied history of musicians who have made their mark in this influential city. Embark on a one-of-a-kind journey through Nashville's musical history, beginning with a tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame, one of the world's largest museums with an extensive collection of music artefacts comprised of 30,000 moving images, 900 musical instruments, iconic vehicles owned by the likes of Elvis Presley and Jerry Reed, as well as a quarter of a million sound recordings, including 98% of all pre-World War II country recordings. Next, you'll visit the RCA Studio B, the birthplace of the "Nashville Sound", and the location of where many acclaimed country music artists recorded some of their best songs, such as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, The Everly Brothers and Willie Nelson. Conclude your captivating tour with a concert at the Grand Ole Opry, an almost century-old music venue that has hosted many of country music's greatest entertainers. You'll enjoy VIP access at this exclusive event and witness a fantastic show performed by contemporary artists performing country, bluegrass, Americana, folk, and gospel music, as well as comedic performances and skits.

Day 5
Road transfer from Nashville to Memphis

After a gripping introduction to Tennessee's music culture in Nashville, it's time to load up the car and travel West to Memphis. 

Day 5-7

Day 5
Graceland, Stax Museum of American Soul & Sun Studio

Dive deeper into Tennessee's fascinating musical history with a visit to some of Memphis' most celebrated locations. 

An integral feature of Memphis' cultural heritage, no visit to the city would be complete without a visit to the grounds of the iconic Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley. It is here you will enjoy a private tour taking you through the 13.8-acre estate, viewing the rooms that Elvis and his family resided within, the whimsical gardens and the vast collection of costumes and artefacts he acquired throughout his career. 

Following your tour of Graceland, you'll visit the Stax Museum of American Soul and enjoy viewing films, stage costumes, musical instruments, vintage recording equipment, as well as engaging in interactive exhibits. Located on the premises of the original Stax Records, the studio is renowned for its influential role in the creation of the Southern soul genre, with a variety of the genres most established artists recording some of their greatest hits at the studio such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, and Isaac Hayes.

Finish your Memphis music tour with a visit to the Sun Studio, a well-known recording studio widely regarded as the birthplace of the Rock n' Roll genre. Throughout the tour, which is led by a knowledgeable guide, you will learn about the various iconic musicians who performed here, including Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbinson, and others.

Day 6
National Civil Rights Museum

On your second day in Memphis, you'll visit the National Civil Rights Museum. Built around the former Lorraine Motel, the site of Martin Luther King Jr.'s tragic assassination in 1968, and comprised of a complex of historic buildings, a visit to the museum provides an unrivalled experience to learn about the civil rights movement's complicated history and the current impact on America's contemporary society. During your tour, you will see 260 artefacts and over 40 films, the significance of which will be explained via listening posts. Charting a five-centuries long history, the tour will include everything from the beginning of the resistance during slavery, through the Civil War and Reconstruction, the rise of Jim Crow, and the events of the late 20th century. 

Day 7
Road transfer from Memphis to Mississippi

Enjoy one final breakfast in Memphis before loading up the car and embarking on your next journey along the Mississippi Blues Trail. 

Before checking in to your next hotel, you'll take an afternoon tour of the B.B. King Museum, which is dedicated to the life and career of blues legend B.B. King. Depicting his humble beginnings from his early upbringing in the Mississippi Delta to his meteoric ascent to global fame, the museum provides rare insight into the history, music, and social and race relations of the Mississippi Delta, in addition to the adversities and successes of B.B. King, as well as the literature and legends that inspired his body of work. 

Continuing along the Mississippi Blues Trail, you'll pass through the intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 49 in Clarksdale, Coahoma County, infamously known as 'The Crossroads'. Mythologized by Rock n' Roll culture, the intersection earned its nickname from a Robert Johnson song that details an alleged event in his life when he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for guitar skills.

Day 7-8
1 night stay at Monmouth Historic Inn & Gardens
