Day 1
Fly from UK to Vancouver

After touching down in Vancouver, you'll be taken by private car transfer to the stylish Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, ideally located in the heart of the city.

Day 1
1 night at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel

Situated on Vancouver's vibrant waterfront, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel is both stylish and contemporary, offering seasonally inspired menus at the hotel's restaurant, a 50ft outdoor heated swimming pool, and an exceptional health club. 

Day 1-2
Vancouver

Cradled by mountains to the north and its coastal harbour to the west, Vancouver is one of Canada's most beautiful cities, a gateway to the Rockies, surrounding ancient forests, and natural beaches. 

With a vibrant arts and music community, and a delightful gastronomical foodie scene, there is plenty to see and do during your stay here, including Vancouver Art Gallery, the boutique shops of Granville Island, or the impressive Capilano Suspension Bridge. 

Day 2
Road transfer from Vancouver to Kelowna

Today you'll pick up your SUV hire vehicle for your road trip across West Canada, equipped with its own GPS system. What with its long, straight, and relatively empty roads, and extraordinary scenery, west Canada is a delightful place to drive. Once you've checked out of your hotel, you'll start driving towards the first stop on your road trip: the wine district of Kelowna. 

Day 2
2 nights at The Cove Lakeside Resort

The Cove Lakeside Resort is a serene retreat on Lake Okanagan, its private sandy beach and watersports facilities offering you plenty to do throughout your stay. Featuring its own spa and an outdoor swimming pool, you'll really have the chance to unwind and relax.

Day 2-4
Kelowna

Home to some of the country's oldest vineyards, the Okanagan Valley is Canada's most famous wine region, characterised by its endless sprawl of vineyards and beautiful lakeside scenery. 

After being collected from your hotel, you'll embark on a full day Kelowna Wine Tour, visiting a minimum of 5 of the region's best vineyards. Starting at the Mission Hill Estate Winery - the flagship of the region - you'll sample a selection of delicious grape varieties before heading on to the gorgeous Mount Boucherie Family Estate Winery. Whilst on your tour, you'll enjoy an exquisite lunch at the Old Vines Restaurant at Quails Gate as well as a gourmet picnic platter of cheese and crackers. 

Day 4
Road transfer from Kelowna to Emerald Lake

Once you've packed up the SUV and checked out the hotel, you'll start heading towards your next destination, the beautiful Emerald Lake in British Columbia's Yoho National Park. 

On your journey to Emerald Lake, you'll drive past the sublime peaks and iconic glassy lakes of Revelstoke, spotting waterfalls such as the Laughing Falls, the Wapta Falls and the Takakkaw Falls, before arriving at the Emerald Lake Lodge. 

Day 4
1 night at Emerald Lake Lodge

Situated beautifully on the shores of Emerald Lake, Emerald Lake Lodge is rustic and cosy, its cabins nestled amongst the surrounding pine trees and just steps away from the peaceful lakeside. You can spend your time here canoeing on the lake, relaxing in the dry sauna, or unwinding in the outdoor hot tub. 

Day 4-5
Emerald Lake

Situated in Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake is the largest of the 61 lakes and ponds that are set within the park, surrounded by expansive forests and a spectacular mountainous landscape. 

Whilst in Emerald Lake, you can really embrace the great outdoors with hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and swimming. The area is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, including moose, ospreys, and bald eagles. 

Day 5
Road transfer from Emerald Lake to Banff

After a relaxing night in Emerald Lake, you're now headed to the world-famous Banff. Take the scenic Bow Valley Parkway which runs alongside the Bow River, where you'll be able to stop and take in the views at the Johnston Canyon before walking to the upper waterfalls on the canyon trail.

Day 5
Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

Known as the 'Castle in the Rockies', Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is one of Canada's most iconic hotels, its elegant design and breathtaking position offering spectacular views across the surrounding forest and mountains. The hotel features a rejuvenating spa, exquisite dining selection, and wide outdoor activity offerings. 

Day 5-7
Banff

Banff National Park, located in the Canadian state of Alberta, is Canada's oldest national park, spanning coniferous forests, ice fields, and mountainous terrain. Home to Peyto Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world, you'll discover remarkable glacier-fed turquoise lakes, cradled by the majestic Rocky Mountains. 

During your stay in Banff, you'll appreciate the breathtaking scenery of the Rocky Mountains as you enjoy a ride on the Banff Gondola. Afterwards, you can expect ultimate relaxation as you take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs, a romantic location ideal for couples and honeymooners. 

Day 7
Road transfer from Banff to Jasper

After two nights in Banff, today you'll head to Jasper. On your journey, you'll be able to visit Sarbach Glacier, Petyo Lake and the Bow Glacier, before you arrive at the secluded Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Day 7
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Set alongside the pristine Beauvert Lake, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a peaceful sanctuary in the mountains, featuring its own spa and outdoor activities. Set across 700 acres of beautiful natural surroundings, the hotel's cosy interiors are intimate and luxurious, providing the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. 

Day 7-9
Jasper

Whilst in Jasper, you'll have the opportunity to visit Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield in the Rocky Mountains. You'll experience an Ice Explorer glacier ride before visiting the award-winning Glacier Skywalk, where you can observe the surrounding scenery from a glass-floored observation platform. You'll be suspended 280m above cascading waterfalls and glacier-formed valleys. 

Once in Jasper, you can make time to explore this delightful mountain village, visit the beautiful Maligne Lake, or take a tram ride up to Whistlers Mountain. 

Day 9
Road transfer from Jasper to Wells Gray Provincial Park

Today you'll continue your West Canada road trip to Clearwater Wells Gray Provincial Park, passing the North Thompson River and steep-walled gorges along the way. 

Day 9
2 nights at the Alpine Meadows Resort

Set alongside a peaceful freshwater lake, the Alpine Meadows Resort is a rustic hideaway, featuring a selection of spacious chalets, a lake-facing jacuzzi, and a Boathouse Restaurant. During your stay you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and boating, as well as hikes into the surrounding forests. 

Day 9-11
Wells Gray Provincial Park

Wells Gray Provincial Park is the fourth largest park in British Columbia, home to the highest points of the Cariboo Mountains, expansive forests, and cascading waterfalls. Known for its extensive hiking trails and rafting and canoeing opportunities, the region benefits from plenty of outdoor activities.

Whilst in Wells Gray Provincial Park, we recommend visiting the impressive Helmcken Falls  before heading to Clearwater Lake for a secluded picnic along the banks of the water. 

Day 11
Road transfer from Wells Gray Provincial Park to Whistler

Today you'll head back west to Whistler. On your drive, you'll visit the Gold Rush Town of Cache Creek, where you'll learn the fascinating history of West Canada's gold rush. Afterwards, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of Joffre Glacier on the Duffey Lake Road, as well as the sublime Mount Currie!

Day 11
2 nights at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort

Surrounded by a vast canopy of tall, green pine trees, Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort is an elegant hotel, offering an exceptional spa,  7 sumptuous restaurants and bars, and luxurious rooms and suites.

Day 11-13
Whistler

Whilst known primarily for its skiing, Whistler is a brilliant destination over the summer months too; as the glacial lakes melt to their iconic turquoise blue and wildflowers dot the verdant hills, the region becomes ideal for hiking and mountain biking.

During your stay, you'll ride the Peak 2 Peak Gondola to Whistler Mountain's sub-alpine terrain, rising over 7,000ft on an open chairlift to take in the astonishing scenery around you. If you're fortunate, you may spot one of the black bears who live in the area surrounding Whistler. 

Day 13
Road transfer from Whistler to Tofino

After exploring the mountainous terrain of the Rockies, it's time to head back to British Columbia's stunning Pacific Rim National Park! Driving along Highway 99, also known as the Sea-to-Sky Highway, you'll be immersed in a landscape carved out by glaciers and comprised of ancient rainforests. Once you reach Horseshoe Bay, you'll board a ferry where you'll sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island, known for its rich abundance of wildlife. 

Day 13
Black Rock Oceanfront Resort

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort combines its modern, minimalist design with its dramatic natural surroundings, its rooms and suites boasting sweeping views across the surrounding forest or ocean. The resort offers exquisite seafood, wildlife excursions, and a tranquil spa. 

Day 13-15
Pacific Rim National Park

The Pacific Rim National Park is where two worlds collide: that of the ocean and the land. The region is known for its temperate rainforests, rugged coastlines, and wildlife populations.

Staying within Tofino, you'll be able to visit Vancouver Island's iconic Long Beach, characterised by its wind-swept shores, fierce surf and pristine sandy beach. Alternatively, take the time to explore the region's aromatic rainforests along secluded trails. The highlight of your stay will be either a whale watch cruise or a bear viewing cruise, depending on your preference, where you'll have the opportunity of encountering these fascinating creatures in the wild. 

Day 15
Road transfer from Tofino to Victoria

After experiencing Tofino, you'll head back to the East Coast of Vancouver Island to the city of Victoria. Along the way, you'll be able to stop off at the artist community of Chemainus, as well as the insightful Quw’utsun’ Heritage Village. 

Day 15
2 nights at the Fairmont Empress Hotel

With stunning views across the habour, the Fairmont Empress Hotel exudes elegance and style; this historical chateau-style building, constructed in 1908, will transport you back to a Canada of a distant past. With a distinct European style, you can enjoy high tea at Tea at the Empress, as well as soothing spa treatments at Willow Steam Spa. 

Day 15-17
Victoria

The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is perched on the edge of Vancouver Island, with a rich history speaking back to the British colonial era. With distinct Victorian architecture, including the stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion, you'll really feel like you've stepped back into a bygone Canadian past.

Whilst in Victoria, you'll visit the renowned Butchart Gardens, set across 50 acres and bursting with colour. Whilst in the city, make sure to try some of the region's mouthwatering seafood dishes, such as freshly caught Wild Pacific Salmon.  

Day 17
Fly from Vancouver to UK

After leaving Victoria, you'll drive north to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal for a ferry ride to Tsawwassen, where you'll enjoy views across the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia. Once back on the mainland, you'll be on your way to Vancouver Airport where you'll drop off your hire SUV and board your plane back to the UK.
