Day 1
Fly from UK to Vancouver

Welcome to Canada! After a relaxing flight across the Atlantic and mainland Canada, you've finally landed in Vancouver on Canada's Pacific coastline. Once you've collected your luggage, you'll be taken by private car transfer to the stylish Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in the heart of the city...

Day 1
1 night at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel

The Fairmont properties are known for their elegance and class, and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel will certainly not disappoint you. Situated on Vancouver's spectacular waterfront, you'll be treated to stylish and contemporary decor as well as seasonally inspired menus at the hotel's restaurant and a 50ft outdoor heated swimming pool. 

Day 1-2
Vancouver

One of Canada's most beautiful cities, Vancouver is surrounded by mountains, its iconic skyline reflected in the shimmering water of its Pacific harbour. With a vibrant arts and music community and a delightful gastronomical foodie scene, you must make sure to explore Vancouver during your 1 night stay. Whether you want to visit the Vancouver Art Gallery, the sprawling Stanley Park, the boutique shops of Granville Island or the impressive Capilano Suspension Bridge, you'll be immersed in the history and natural beauty of this spectacular West Coast city. 

Day 2
Road transfer from Vancouver to Kelowna

Today you'll pick up your stylish SUV hire vehicle for your road trip across West Canada, equipped with its own GPS system. With long, straight roads, driving in Canada is a breeze, and it won't be long until you're used to driving on the other side of the road! Once you've checked out of the hotel, you'll be on your way to the first stop on your roadtrip: the wine district of Kelowna. 

Day 2
2 nights at The Cove Lakeside Resort

The Cove Lakeside Resort is a serene retreat on Lake Okanagan, its private sandy beach and watersports facilities perfect for immersing yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings. Featuring its own spa and an outdoor swimming pool, you will feel truly relaxed and revitalised throughout your stay at the resort. 

Day 2-4
Kelowna

Welcome to wine heaven! The Okanagan Valley in Kelowna is the wine heart of Canada, its verdant vineyards stretching on endlessly towards the horizon. Home to some of the country's oldest vineyards, this is the place to taste for yourself some of Canada's finest wines.

After getting picked up from your hotel, you'll embark on a full day Kelowna Wine Tour, visiting a minimum of 5 of the region's best vineyards. Starting at the Mission Hill Estate Winery - the flagship of the region - you'll sample a selection of delicious grape varieties before heading on to the gorgeous Mount Boucherie Family Estate Winery. Whilst on your tour, you'll enjoy a superb lunch at the Old Vines Restaurant at Quails Gate as well as a gourmet picnic platter of cheese and crackers - simply delicious! 

Day 4
Road transfer from Kelowna to Emerald Lake

Kelowna was simply fabulous - you've had enough wine for a year! - but you're now looking forward to exploring more of Canada on your epic road trip. Once you've packed up the SUV and have put in the GPS details, you're now on your way to the beautiful Emerald Lake in British Columbia's Yoho National Park. So, sit back and enjoy the ride, taking in the beautiful scenery around you! 

Day 4
1 night at Emerald Lake Lodge

Situated beautifully on the shores of the crystalline Emerald Lake, the Emerald Lake Lodge offers true rustic luxury, its cosy cabins fully immersed in the beautiful natural surroundings. Whether you want to relax in your whirlpool bath or go canoeing on the lake, the lodge is your ideal relaxing getaway. 

Day 4-5
Emerald Lake

On your journey to Emerald Lake, this is where you'll really start to see much of West Canada's greatest treasures. Driving past the sublime peaks and iconic glassy lakes of Revelstoke, you'll really feel like you've arrived in Canada. You'll pass magical waterfalls such as the Laughing Falls, the Wapta Falls and the Takakkaw Falls, before arriving at the beautiful Emerald Lodge. Make sure to take your camera, as this is Canada at it's most Instagram-worthy!

Once you've arrived in Emerald Lake, this is your chance to really get outside and explore. From canoeing to paddle boarding, you'll be able to breathe in the fresh mountain air and really connect with the natural world around you. Afterwards, you can head to the Emerald Lake Lodge's outdoor hot tub for some much-needed relaxation. 

Day 5
Road transfer from Emerald Lake to Banff

After a relaxing night in Emerald Lake, you're now excited to venture to the well-known Banff! As you get back into your SUV, you can take the scenic Bow Valley Parkway which runs alongside the Bow River, where you'll be able to stop and take in the views at the Johnston Canyon before walking to the upper waterfalls on the canyon trail. Once back in the SUV you'll be right on your way to Banff, where you'll be staying at the luxurious Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel...

Day 5
Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

Like something straight from a fairytale, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is known rather fondly as the 'Castle in the Rockies', its elegant design and breathtaking position nestled amongst the trees in the mountains simply magical. With a rejuvenating spa and an exquisite dining selection, you are guaranteed to feel like royalty throughout your stay.

Day 5-7
Banff

Banff National Park, located in the Canadian state of Alberta, is the Canada of your imagination. Home to Peyto Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world, you'll discover remarkable glacier-fed turquoise lakes, cradled by the majestic Rocky Mountains. 

During your stay in Banff, you'll appreciate the breathtaking scenery of the Rocky Mountains high up in the sky as you enjoy a ride on the Banff Gondola; you'll be really blown away by the impressive panoramic views of the Bow Valley. Afterwards, you can expect ultimate relaxation as you take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs, truly romantic if you're on a honeymoon in Canada!

Day 7
Road transfer from Banff to Jasper

Banff was simply out of this world but you're now excited to head to the Jasper National Park! On your journey, you'll be able to feast your eyes on a variety of sights, such as the Sarbach Glacier, Petyo Lake and the Bow Glacier, before you arrive at the secluded Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge!

Day 7
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Day 7-9
Jasper

The adventure begins before you reach Jasper, with an out-of-this world experience at the Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield in the Rocky Mountains. You'll experience an incredible Ice Explorer glacier ride before visiting the award-winning Glacier Skywalk where you can take in the spectacular scenery around you from a glass-floored observation platform; you'll be suspended 280m above magical waterfalls and glacier-formed valleys! 

Once in Jasper, you can really explore this delightful mountain village, choosing to visit the beautiful Maligne Lake or taking a tram ride up to Whistlers Mountain. As you look around at the sublime mountain scenery, you'll feel completely awe-struck - the Canadian Rockies really are like something straight from your imagination!

Day 9
Road transfer from Jasper to Wells Gray Provincial Park

Jasper was incredible, but now's the time to continue your West Canada road trip and head to the beautiful Clearwater Wells Gray Provincial Park. As you cruise along down the breathtaking Yellowhead Highway, you'll be blown away by the rushing North Thompson River and the steep-walled gorges. Soon you'll be arriving at the rustic Alpine Meadows Resort, where you can enjoy undisturbed serenity...

Day 9
2 nights at the Alpine Meadows Resort

Set alongside a peaceful freshwater lake, the Alpine Meadows Resort is a rustic hideaway where you'll be able to fully connect with nature. With a selection of spacious chalets, a lake-facing jacuzzi and an abundance of tranquil watersports, this is the place to unwind and relax whilst on your road trip. 

Day 9-11
Wells Gray Provincial Park

Wells Gray Provincial Park is an outstanding natural haven; the fourth largest park in British Columbia, this vast wilderness comprises the highest points of the Cariboo Mountains and is home to expansive forests and cascading waterfalls. Known for its extensive hiking trails, rafting experiences and canoeing opportunities, this is the place for adventure.

Whilst in Wells Gray Provincial Park, you must visit the impressive Helmcken Falls where you'll be able to admire the ferocious rush of water from the viewing platform. Afterwards, you can head to Clearwater Lake for a secluded picnic, where you'll be able to listen to the soothing sounds of bird song whilst taking in the breathtaking surroundings. 

Day 11
Road transfer from Wells Gray Provincial Park to Whistler

As you head back West, you're excited to visit the iconic Whistler, famous for its skiing. On your drive, you'll visit the Gold Rush Town of Cache Creek, where you'll learn the fascinating history of West Canada's gold rush. Afterwards, breathtaking views of Joffre Glacier will greet you on the Duffey Lake Road, as well as the sublime Mount Currie!

Day 11
2 nights at Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Day 11-13
Whistler

Whilst known primarily for its skiing, Whistler is just as beautiful during the summer! As the glacial lakes melt to their iconic turquoise blue and wildflowers dot the verdant hills, you'll be able to savour the incredible landscapes on stunning hiking or mountain biking trails!

On your West Canada road trip, you'll be treated to a peak adventure on the famous Whistler Mountain. Riding the Peak 2 Peak Gondola to Whistler Mountain's sub-alpine terrain and then rising over 7,000ft on an open chairlift, you'll be able to feast your eyes across the untouched surroundings beneath you, from glaciers to extinct volcanoes - truly romantic if you're on a Canada honeymoon! 

Day 13
Road transfer from Whistler to Tofino

You've had an incredible time in the mountains, but you're now looking forward to heading back to the coast to British Columbia's stunning Pacific Rim National Park! Driving along Highway 99, also known as the Sea-to-Sky Highway, you'll be immersed in a landscape carved out by glaciers and comprised of ancient rainforests. Once you reach Horseshoe Bay, you'll board a ferry where you'll sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Known for its abundance of wildlife, make sure to keep your eyes peeled as you drive through the Pacific Rim National Park!

Day 13
Black Rock Oceanfront Resort

Day 13-15
Pacific Rim National Park

Welcome to the wild side of life. The Pacific Rim National Park is where two worlds collide: that of the ocean and the land. A true natural wonderland, you can expect to explore temperate rainforests and rugged coastlines.

Staying within Tofino, you'll be able to wander along the iconic Long Beach, characterised by its wind-swept shores, fierce surf and pristine sandy beach. Alternatively, let yourself be beckoned by the region's aromatic rainforests and wander along secluded trails. Whilst on your road trip, you'll also be able to choose between a Whale Watch cruise or a Bear Viewing cruise, where you can encounter these remarkable creatures for yourself!

Day 15
Road transfer from Tofino to Victoria

After experiencing the best of Tofino, you jump back into your SUV to head to the East Coast of Vancouver Island to the city of Victoria. Along the way, you'll be able to stop off at the artist community of Chemainus, as well as the insightful Quw’utsun’ Heritage Village. Afterwards, you'll soon be arriving at your final hotel, the stylish Fairmont Empress Hotel...

Day 15
2 nights at the Fairmont Empress Hotel

With stunning views across the habour, the Fairmont Empress Hotel exudes elegance and style; this historical chateau-style building, constructed in 1908, will transport you back to a Canada of a distant past. With a distinct European style, you can enjoy high tea at Tea at the Empress, as well as spa treatments fit for royalty at Willow Steam Spa. 

Day 15-17
Victoria

The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is perched on the edge of Vancouver Island, with a rich history speaking back to the British colonial era. With distinct Victorian architecture, including the stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion, you'll really feel like you've stepped back into a bygone Canadian past.

Whilst in Victoria, you'll visit the elegant Butchart Gardens, with over 50 acres of marvellous plants and flowers bursting with vibrancy and colour. Whilst in the city, make sure to try some of the region's mouthwatering seafood dishes, such as freshly caught Wild Pacific Salmon.  

Day 17
Fly from Vancouver to UK

Your West Canada road trip is sadly over! After leaving Victoria, you'll drive north to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal for a peaceful ferry ride to Tsawwassen, where you'll enjoy views across the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia. Once back on the mainland, you'll be on your way to Vancouver Airport where you'll drop off your hire SUV and board your plane back to the UK. As you take to the skies, you think back to the incredible time you had exploring the west of Canada, and you start thinking about where next you'd like to travel.
