Discover Coffee & Cartagena in Colombia

On your second day in Bogota, you'll embark on a guided tour through the city's most exciting locations. Beginning in La Candelaria, Bogota's historic 17th-century town, you'll discover cobble paved streets lined with boutique shops, brightly coloured houses and magnificent cathedrals. From there, you'll walk through narrow streets with walls adorned with exquisite murals, grand government buildings before visiting Plaza Bolivar, Bogota's main square. Following your day of exploration, you'll enjoy a unique culinary experience at VERDI, a textile studio that is renowned for reinterpreting the aesthetics of Colombia's native traditions into contemporary art pieces. Here, you'll enjoy a fantastic three-course meal, as well as a private seminar about the workshop.  

If time allows it, be sure to pay a visit to the Gold Museum, a one-of-a-kind museum that homes one of the most important collections of pre-Hispanic metallurgy in the world, with over 50,000 gold items on exhibit.

Spend your first afternoon touring the ranch's idyllic grounds where you'll embark on a guided tour throughout its working coffee plantation, a fantastic way to learn about the harvest techniques employed by local farmers, before venturing into the luscious bamboo forests that home a diversity of flora and fauna, including various species of bird. Witness the rolling emerald hills and towering palm trees that characterise the region on an excursion to the breathtaking Valle del Cocora, a pristine valley famed for its spectacular beauty. From there, you can embark on a hike up to the Los Nevados National Park, one of the country's best trekking locations located in the Colombian Andes that's famed for its otherwordly landscapes, before enjoying a secluded picnic in the company of incredible views on a private farm. 

Following a tour of Valle del Cocora, you'll visit the charming town of Salento, one of the many pueblos that comprise the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here you'll explore the quaint streets and encounter the vibrant culture of Colombia's unrivalled Andean countryside with a plethora of activities to be enjoyed, including witnessing locals play a traditional game called Tejo. 

A recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cartagena's historic centre is teeming with evidence of the city's rich heritage, with the exquisite 16th-century Cathedral of Cartagena towering over enchanting streets lined with colourful homes draped in bougainvillaea, unique boutique shops and small cafes serving some of the best coffee in the country. During your stay, you'll enjoy a guided tour through the city's most wonderful attractions, including an immersive walkthrough hidden streets, a visit to the home of renowned Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and indulging in regional delicacies, including a rum tasting activity where you'll learn about various rum distillation and processing techniques while sampling a selection of excellent rums. 

Situated just 100km off the coast of Cartagena, the Rosario Islands are an archipelago of pristine tropical islands nestled amidst tranquil Caribbean waters. You'll visit these stunning islands on a short yacht ride, hopping from island to island, before disembarking for an afternoon of marine exploration with a snorkelling excursion, the ideal way to see the diversity of marine life that inhabits the vibrant reefs that surround the islands. Experience dining in paradise with a reinvigorating lunch at one of the island's lively restaurants with menus comprised of refreshing cocktails and vibrant cuisine.
