Day 1
Fly from UK to Lima

Welcome to Peru. Upon arrival, you'll make your way to your accommodation for the night, located just a few steps away from the airport. 

Day 1-2
1 night stay at Wyndham Costa del Sol Hotel

Providing everything you may need to rejuvenate after your flight, Wyndham Costa del Sol Hotel is a contemporary-style hotel ideally located next to the airport. With an on-site pool and restaurant, you won't have to venture out for a relaxing afternoon and reinvigorating meal. 

Day 2
Fly from Lima to Cusco

It's time for your tour of Peru to truly begin. You'll depart from the nearby hotel to the first destination of your tour, the ancient city of Cusco. Once you've arrived, you'll be met by a driver and transferred to The Sacred Valley for a delightful lunch and an afternoon of exploration. 

Day 2
The Sacred Valley & Hacienda Sarapampa

Before arriving at your accommodation, you'll spend an afternoon exploring the spectacular Sacred Valley, located just 15km north of Cusco. Situated in Peru's Andean highlands, The Sacred Valley was an area of great significance for the ancient Inca Empire, containing many of its most notable cultural and agricultural sites. You'll embark on a guided tour through the ruins that line the upper section of the valley, estimated to date back 600 years ago. 

Following an afternoon of exploration, you'll have the opportunity to not only learn about the centuries-old giant corn harvest techniques still used by the local communities today but also to taste regional cuisine at the family-owned farm-to-table restaurant Hacienda Sarapampa. 

Day 2-4
2 nights stay at Sol y Luna

Sol y Luna is a charming boutique hotel set in the heart of The Sacred Valley, nestled amidst the majestic peaks of the Andes. During your visit, you'll enjoy staying in your own individual casita, which includes a private outdoor space with a jacuzzi, complete with panoramic views of the awe-inspiring mountainscape. 

Day 3
Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo

After a restful night at Soy y Luna, it's time to venture back out into the valley for a tour of some of the valley's most interesting features. You'll visit the salt ponds of Maras, a vast network of man-made mines believed to pre-date the formation of the Inca Empire, before viewing the incredible agricultural terraces of Moray, a fascinating display of the advanced practices of the Incas. From there, you'll visit Ollantaytambo, a small town that remains inhabited today and is famed for homing a colossal fortress with stone terraces. 

Day 4
Vistadome Rail Journey to Machu Picchu

You'll undertake an adventurous train journey down The Sacred Valley's meandering trail until you arrive at your next destination, Machu Picchu! A fantastic way to see the sights of this incredible region, you'll enjoy travelling in the renowned Vistadome train, known for its expansive panoramic windows that allow you to enjoy stunning vistas at every turn.

Day 4
Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu, without a doubt the most sought-after destination in all of Peru, has deservedly gained distinction as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The magnificent landmark is one of the world's finest archaeological sites, both in terms of size and structure. You'll enjoy a guided tour around the grounds, an activity likened to travelling through time, marvelling at the fine details of this formerly 'Lost City'.

Day 4-5
1 night stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

Situated within a misty cloud forest at an elevation of over 6,000 feet, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is a secluded retreat tucked away within a remote Andean village. Day 5
Belmond's Hiram Bingham Train

Before embarking on an unforgettable train ride back to Cusco, you'll enjoy a culinary experience at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Hotel in Machu Picchu. A rare opportunity to sample some of the best artisanal and indigenous delicacies in Peru, this immersive lunch will allow you to discover new flavours in the company of the spectacular vistas of the Andes. 

Following a delicious lunch at the hotel, you will be taken to the Aguas Calientes train station, where you will board the luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham Train. A unique travel experience, the train interiors are reminiscent of the glamour of a bygone era, with stunning 1920's-style carriages with polished brass and wooden accents. The journey will last approximately four hours, at which time you'll enjoy sampling a cocktail menu, indulging in a four-course dinner and enjoying live music, all while marvelling at the breathtaking landscapes the train travels through. Once you've arrived at Poroy station, you'll be transferred via private car to your accommodation. 

Day 5-7
2 nights stay at Monasterio, A Belmond Hotel

Cusco

A city that's witnessed empires rising and falling, Cusco is one of Peru's richest historical hubs, with everything from ancient Inca ruins to 16th-century colonial remnants found throughout. You'll enjoy a guided tour taking you through its most noteworthy structures, a captivating activity designed to showcase the wealth of culture and history that define this iconic city. You'll visit the intricate man-made caves of the Q'enko archaeological complex, a religious site used by the Incas, and tour the spectacular Sacsayhuaman fortress, a peculiar structure constructed using colossal stones. In the heart of the city, you'll find the magnificent Cusco Cathedral, a 16th-century cathedral that remained in construction for almost 100 years. Lastly, witness the merging of Peru's ancient culture and colonial-era merge in Coricancha, formerly known as Temple of the Sun, an Inca structure that would be later built atop to become the convent of Santo Domingo.

Day 7
Fly from Cusco to Iquitos

Enjoy one final morning in Cusco with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before meeting your driver and travelling to the local airport. From there, you'll catch a connecting flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival, you'll be met by a representative and transferred to your accommodation on the Aqua Nera.  

Day 7-10

Upon arrival in the region, you'll embark on a skiff excursion along the Maranon River to reach Aqua Nera in time for boarding. Once you're aboard, you can enjoy settling into your suite and freshening up in your private en-suite bathroom before enjoying a fantastic dinner at the Malabar restaurant, headed by Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. 

The second day of your journey will see you pass through the expansive Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, the second largest protected ecological reserve in the Amazon. Home to vast biodiversity that includes more than 1000 wildlife species and 965 species of wild flora, as well as the fascinating pink dolphin, giant South American turtles and diversity of bird species, the reserve is best explored on intimate water excursions, whether that be canoeing, kayaking, or simply swimming - the choice is yours! After an afternoon of exploration, you'll visit a remote village nestled on the banks of the Maranon River, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter the local community and learn about traditional customs. 

Day 9-10
Samiria River

Begin the morning of day three with a serene skiff ride down the Samiria River, a scenic stretch of river fringed by luscious, verdant forestry. Following your morning excursion, you'll return to the boat for a reinvigorating lunch before enjoying a comprehensive lecture led by a resident expert on the various flora and fauna species that can be found throughout the region. You'll spend the afternoon exploring the rainforest on an expert-led tour before embarking on a boat ride during the evening for an unforgettable stargazing session. 

On the last day of the cruise, you'll spend the morning browsing a local market for exotic fresh produce before enjoying an afternoon visiting the Manatee Rescue Center, a rescue and rehabilitation centre for orphaned Amazonian manatees. 

Day 10
Fly from Iquitos to UK

Following a phenomenal adventure across Peru's marvellous ancient ruins, vibrant cities and stunning natural landscapes, your adventure has finally come to a close. After disembarking, you'll be met by a driver and taken to the local airport, from which you'll fly back to the UK.
