Day 1
Fly from UK to New Delhi

Upon arrival in New Delhi, you'll meet your driver at the airport for a private road transfer to the first hotel on your itinerary: Haveli Dharampura.

Day 1-3
2 nights stay at Haveli Dharampura

Set within a restored nineteenth-century mansion, Haveli Dharampura is a UNESCO-awarded boutique property ideally situated in Old Delhi, with a Mughal-era design, an authentic restaurant, and rooftop terraces offering views across the city. 

Day 1-2
Delhi

On your first evening, you'll embark on an Old Delhi food walk with a local guide, sampling an array of street food that has been influenced by the city's Mughal heritage. The following day, you'll enjoy a full day tour of Delhi, including visits to Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, as well as an exhilarating rickshaw ride through Old Delhi.

Day 3
Gatimaan Express

After breakfast, you'll meet your driver and proceed to Delhi's train station for your journey to Agra aboard the semi-high-speed Gatimaan Express, where you will travel in Executive Class. This ten-coach train includes two stylish restaurants that offer both local and international cuisines. Passengers can enjoy both table d’hôte meals and an extensive a la carte menu.

Arriving in Agra Cantt train station, disembark and meet your driver, who will transport you to two spectacular locations en route to your next hotel in Chambal.

Day 3
Agra

Discover the top attractions of Agra including Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 when Delhi overtook Agra as the capital of the Empire, and the Taj Mahal, a marble mausoleum that's classed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

2 nights stay at Mela Kothi - Chambal Safari Lodge

Set within 35 acres of pristine woodland, Mela Kothi - Chambal Safari Lodge is an intimate ecolodge offering boat safaris along the Chambal River. The property features accommodation inspired by the local area, a comfortable lounge, and an authentic restaurant. 

Day 4
Chambal River Boat Safari & Bateshwar Temples

Boasting a unique and flourishing biodiversity, you'll explore the Chambal River's back waters and banks aboard a safari boat to catch glimpses of an array of fascinating wildlife; observe the fish-eating gharial crocodiles, identifiable by their narrow snouts, basking in the sun; see muggers and turtles swashing through the water; and watch the myriad of migratory and residents birds flit around the riverbanks.

Afterwards, you'll visit Bateshwar Temples, a complex comprised of 200 sandstone temples, 101 of which are dedicated to Shiva, whilst the remaining ones celebrate Vishnu and Shakti. The complex is one of the most significant spiritual and cultural centres in India, and gives a fascinating insight into the rich history of the region. 

Day 5
Road transfer from Chambal River to Samode

After breakfast, you will be driven westwards to the town of Samode in the state of Rajasthan, where you will check into your next hotel, Samode Palace. This scenic drive will take between six and seven hours, with plenty of opportunity to stop along the way for refreshments or to take pictures of India's beautiful northern landscapes.

Day 5-7
2 nights at Samode Palace

Set within a former palace, Samode Palace is a historic property boasting a collection of luxurious rooms and suites, two restaurants offering both international and authentic Indian cuisine, a spacious outdoor pool, and on-site wellness therapists. 

Day 5-6
Samode & Jaipur

Embark on a tour of Samode, a quiet town nestled in the foothills of the arid Aravalli mountain range, learning about the fascinating royal history and culture of the town.

The following day you'll visit Jaipur, the capital of India's Rajasthan state, exploring the city's 16th-century hilltop fortress Amber Palace, which boasts an elaborate façade that is astoundingly intricate in its pink sandstone carving, the grand City Palace, an opulent, colonnaded complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, and Jantar Mantar, the most famous of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. You'll also enjoy a tour of Old Jaipur at night, experiencing traditional food from local vendors and admiring the work of local artisans. 

Day 7
Road transfer from Samode to Nimaaj

In the morning, you will depart for Nimaaj, a tranquil farming hideaway on the edge of the Aravalli mountain range. The lakes in the area are renowned for their birdlife, with flocks of migratory birds visiting during the winter months. This scenic overland journey to Nimaaj will take between four and five hours.

Day 7-9
2 nights at RAAS Chhatrasagar

Overlooking a wildlife-rich reservoir near Nimaaj, Raas Chhatrasagar is a luxury lodge offering exceptional birdwatching opportunities, featuring luxury tented accommodation, all-day dining, an outdoor swimming pool, and revitalising yoga sessions. 

Day 8
Birdwatching, Village Excursion & Local School Visit

The reservoir that RAAS Chhatrasagar straddles is home to an extraordinary diversity of birdlife, with over 200 avian species frequenting the surrounding area. At the lodge, you can enjoy an array of birdwatching opportunities, from nature walks to boating on the lake. 

Afterwards, enjoy a visit to a rural farm and village to discover the fascinating way the locals live, learning about how they maintain their livelihoods. Follow your farm and village exploration with a visit to a local school, where you can meet the school children and learn about daily life in rural India.

Day 9
Road transfer from Nimaaj to Jodhpur

In the morning, your driver will collect you from the hotel after breakfast and take you to your next accommodation in Jodhpur, a historic city in the arid Thar Desert of Rajasthan.

Mehrangarh Fort & Jaswant Thada

En route to your accommodation, you will stop to explore Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest in Rajasthan, comprising various complexes, beautiful courtyards, and a stunning heritage museum. Afterwards, you'll visit Jaswant Thada a white marble cenotaph built in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh to celebrate the life of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. You'll then enjoy a delicious lunch at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace, where you can dine on authentic Rajasthani cuisine or Mediterranean flavours.

Day 9-11
2 nights at Mihir Garh

Mihir Garh is a boutique hotel situated in the Thar Desert, just a short distance from Jodhpur. Inspired by historic Rajasthani architecture, the property is decorated with traditional influences, featuring a selection of luxurious rooms suites, a spa offering Ayurvedic treatments, an outdoor swimming pool, and an excellent restaurant.

Village Jeep Safari & Shikaar Dinner

Jump into a Jeep and head across the arid expanse of the Thar Desert on a "Village Safari" to experience life in rural Rajasthan. See how local people live their lives and interact with them to hear their fascinating stories and engage in their local customs. You'll also enjoy a traditional Rajasthani "Shikaar" dinner experience, an outdoor dining concept from a bygone era when "shikaar" hunting was the only means of providing food.

Day 11
Road transfer from Jodhpur to Jawai

You will depart for the beautiful wilderness of Jawai, a landscape of thick shrubbery and billion-year-old granite rock formations that dot the hillsides which are home to a thriving population of leopards.

2 nights at SUJAN JAWAI

SUJAN JAWAI is a luxury safari camp nestled within a hundred-acre private estate of indigenous scrub in Jawai, featuring luxurious tented suites, an infinity-edge swimming pool, and game drives into the wilderness. 

Day 12
Jawai Wilderness Safari

Explore Jawai's wilderness in a customised 4x4 vehicle in the company of an informative guide to track down and observe from a safe and unobtrusive distance the region's thriving leopard population. As well as leopards, Jawai's wilderness is home to some 100 species of migratory bird, as well as large mammals such as bears, wolves, hyenas, and panthers. The cool waters of the Jawai River, meanwhile, are home to crocodiles, which can be glimpsed skulking through the water or sun-bathing along the riverbanks.

Day 13
Road transfer from Jawai to Udaipur

After breakfast, you will meet your driver for a road transfer to your next accommodation in Udaipur. En route, you will stop at the 15th-century Jain Temple in Ranakpur and enjoy a sumptuous lunch at Mountbatten Lodge, an opulent hideaway nestled amid the lush hillsides outside Ranakpur.

Ranakpur Jain Temple

You'll visit Jain Temple in Ranakpur, an ornate, 15th-century structure that boasts five spires, 20 domes, and 29 halls. The architecture of Jain temples is similar to that of Hindu and ancient Buddhist temples, with the Ranakpur Jain Temple widely considered the most spectacular and impressive of all Jain temples across India, exhibiting a façade of gleaming white marble.

Afterwards, enjoy a lunch at the Mountbatten Lodge, served al fresco beneath a 300-year-old banyan tree. Dishes range from authentic Rajasthani cuisine to beloved international dishes.

Boat from Udaipur to Taj Lake Palace

On arrival in Udaipur, you'll enjoy a short boat ride on Lake Pichola to your accommodation.

Day 13-15
2 nights at Taj Lake Palace

With a history that dates back to 1746, Taj Lake Palace is a palatial luxury hotel set on an island on Lake Pichola, with ornate rooms, fine dining, an opulent outdoor pool, and a spa focused on traditional Indian therapies. 

Day 13-14
Udaipur

Enjoy an enchanting private boat ride in the evening across the lucid waters of Lake Pichola, an artificial freshwater lake that was created in the year 1362. Traversing this tranquil lake by boat is one of the best ways to marvel at the city's magnificent historic architecture and monuments, with grand palaces and edifices lining the waterfront. 

The following day, you'll enjoy an Udaipur City Tour, learning more about the city's fascinating history and culture whilst visiting sites such as the City Palace and Jagdish Temple. 

Day 15-16
Fly from Udaipur to UK

Depart the hotel aboard a boat before meeting your driver for a short transfer to Udaipur's airport for your flight back to Delhi. Landing in Delhi, you will connect at the airport for your international flight back to the UK.
